Admission
TIS provides a broad educational programme for children from age 1,5 to 15. English proficiency is not mandatory for admittance to the school programme.
Enrolment
School
Students are enrolled in school from the age of 6. Younger students can be enrolled if by teachers´ observations a child would benefit from the programme. In that case a child must be at least six years of age on or before the following 1st of December.
Registration forms for enrolment in school can be obtained from the Head Teacher of TIS.
For enrolment the following documents are needed:
* Registration Form to TIS (contact the Head Teacher to get one and send back by e-mail or snail mail);
* Child´s records in English from the previous school (school reports, health records, other should be sent to school before academic year starts)
After child enrolment a contract between the school and a parent is signed and a tuition fee invoice is issued by the Treasurer of the school board.
Tuition Fees
TIS is a private school. The operation of the school is financed from tuition fees.
The size of the tuition fee is determined by the owner (non-profit organization Tartu International School). This amount is not changed during an academic year.
The tuition fee is established based on the prospective number of students, and the amount of expenses taking into consideration the terms of a contract concluded between the owner and a student.
Tuition fee for the academic year 2011/2012:
- Base tuition fee (Year 1 – Year 9) – 7350 EUR per academic year
- Free time club – (Mon. – Thu. 13.00 – 17.00) 1023 EUR per academic year
- Clubs – 55 EUR for one club per week throughout the academic year
