The kindergarten schedule may vary each study year, but the general daily structure remains the same in order to provide consistency and a sense of security for the children. Updated schedule times are shared with families at the beginning of each study year.
Kindergarten is open from 8:00 to 17:30. Children can arrive from 8:00, which allows time for a calm drop-off, free play, and settling into the day. Organised educational activities begin at 9:30, so it is recommended to arrive before the activities start. Many of the educational activities and free play sessions also take place outdoors. One day a week is always saved for hiking.
For the younger children, there is a nap time, while older children have a quiet hour with some downtime, including listening to book readings and taking part in other calm activities. The second part of the day is often spent together with other groups, supporting play and interaction between children of different ages.
