Grade 4 students win 3rd place in nationwide competition Negavatt

The students of Grade 4 and 5 participated in an environmental video competition called Mini Negavatt which is run by the Environmental Investments Centre (Keskkonnainvesteeringute Keskus, KIK). Seeking children’s ideas to solve environmental issues, this year’s topic were “Future Cities”. For the competition, students had to present a 1-minute video clip containing their boldest ideas on how future cities can be more environmentally friendly. The jury valued the ideas and not the film making.

Both our classes presented wonderful ideas. A lot of effort from everyone involved was put in to lead to the final result that we can see now:

Grade 4 competition video “Future Green Cities”

Grade 5 competition video “City in 100 Years”

The 4th Grade video was nominated third prize in their age group and will receive a funding of 300€ to carry out a trip or event related to environmental education.

We are proud of all students’ hard work and their clever ideas! Thank you to our teachers Evelyn, Elo-Kai and Jaak-Albert who helped their students to realize their videos.
